What is POWDERMET2018?

Each year the Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF) and APMI International bring together PM industry professionals and decision makers from around the world to network and learn from each other about the latest developments and innovations in powder metallurgy, particulate materials, and metal additive manufacturing.

The extensive trade exhibition showcases over 100 exhibitors featuring the latest in PM equipment, metal powders, metal additive manufacturing, and related products and services. The trade exhibition is combined with the co-located AMPM2018: Additive Manufacturing with Powder Metallurgy. This is the only place in North America to meet face-to-face with worldwide PM industry professionals!

Who are the attendees?

POWDERMET2018 amd AMPM2018 will attract delegates from around the world (in 2017, nearly 30 countries were represented). Delegates are senior management, technical and sales management, and engineering professionals. The attendees are the decision makers and the buyers of:

  • Metal Powders—conventional powders, tool steels, refractory metals, powders for metal injection molding, metal additive manufacturing, and spray forming.
  • Forming Technologies—compaction & sizing presses, tools, machines for metal injection molding, metal additive manufacturing, and isostatic pressing.
  • Furnaces—continuous belt, pusher, vacuum, high-temperature, heat treatment, steam treating, belts, muffles, furniture.
  • Atmospheres—hydrogen, nitrogen, argon, delivery and onsite generation.
  • Other Services—equipment used for powder mixing, screening, environmental, test and evaluation, miscellaneous laboratory equipment, consultants, software and hardware providers, trade publications, etc.

In addition, the Powder Metallurgy Parts Association (PMPA) holds an annual business meeting at POWDERMET, attracting senior parts fabricator executives.
